What we learned from CV-19

Here's what Covid-19 has taught us about where we were wrong:
1. Medicare for all is a fine idea when you're having a pandemic. It might just then be a fine idea.
2. Universal Basic Income would have helped a lot, instead of having to throw it together in desperation, and only once, at that.
3. Socialism isn't as evil as we thought it was. There are times for each of us when govt help is awesome, and thus we might consider that there is always someone having one of those times.
4. When essential workers and immigrants are the same people, we were probably wrong about immigration all along.
5. Preparing for the worst before the worst arrives is maybe the best idea.
6. Not everything is a hoax. Maybe the biggest hoax is the claim that everything is a hoax.
7. Over-reaction might be a lot better than under-reaction. And if over-reacting fixes it, then to long for under-reaction is foolish.
8. Not everything is about freedom.
9. Not everything the govt does is bad. Poorly done, maybe, but not bad.
10. Having access and listening to multiple news sources is wise.
11. If you can see the avalanche, and hear the avalanche, and watch people being killed by the avalanche, turning your back on it and telling everyone that it's just a bunch of snowflakes is not helpful.
